American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT)

If you haven't joined this one you should. The Physics Teacher journal is great and well worth the price of membership (which has recently dropped for pre-college educators), just check for some of the free articles if you don't believe me.

Michigan Chapter of the AAPT (MiAAPT)

This group meets twice a year. Once in the fall and again in the spring. Dues are a modest $10/year.

Metropolitan Detroit Science Teachers Association (MDSTA)

Has a meeting every fall at Lawrence Technological University. This one is always one of my favorites to attend. If you haven't been before you should check it out. This Year (2008) the meting is on Saturday, October 18th.

Michigan Science Teachers Association (MSTA)

The MSTA hosts a meeting every spring. This year's (2009) meeting will be March 5-7 and will be at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center in Detroit.
